Makeup Tips for Mature Women

Everybody desires to look young and beautiful. But, if you enjoy the grace of long life, one thing you will have to come to terms with is aging. When it comes to aging, the most visible difference is noticed on the skin.
When I say makeup for matured women, I mean women whose skin has become looser, less hydrated, and less elastic. It is a skin that’s prone to wrinkles, crow’s feet, lines, and spots. These skin defects are often natural and as a result of aging. This skin condition is quite different physiologically
from a young skin and requires different treatment.
The essence of makeup for matured skin is; to add color to faded skin, and to diminish minor blemishes and wrinkles. It is not intended to make older women younger. Rather they are intended to accentuate the natural mature beauty which could actually make a woman appear younger. Women with matured skin are equally as attractive as younger women, only in a different way.
When it comes to older women the rule is to use less makeup. Heavy makeup will not blend well into your skin tone, and this can actually make you look older. Your base makeup should not be dry but rich in moisture. So, powder should be avoided. Makeup should be applied only after the moisture has been absorbed.

Primer: This should be applied after the moisturizer has been absorbed. Primer makes the skin smoother to apply makeup by shrinking the pores. Lip primer softens dry and cracked lips, and takes care of the small wrinkles around the mouth. An eye primer will make the eye shadow stay smooth for longer hours.

Filler: The filler is applied under the eyes or expression lines to brighten the eyes by reducing swelling. The filler help to reduce deep wrinkles.

Concealer: This is often one tone lighter than your makeup is used to hide discoloration and pigmentation which makeup can not cover. When applied to the outer and inner corners of the eyes, it will make the eyes look awake and refreshed. Broken blood vessels and red spots will be concealed by a green concealer. Orange concealer will take care of dark spot, and yellow spots will be taken care of by purple concealer.

Foundation: An oil based foundation should be used and applied lightly. Do not make use of powder or matte foundation formulas as your skin requires all the moisture it can get. Choose foundation the color of your skin. Make use of soft sponge to apply your foundation and ensure the edges under your
ears and over your neck blends very well.

Eye-makeup: Make use of cream based eye shadows as they will moisturize while covering blemishes. Choose eye shadows and eye brow the tone of your skin.

Blush: Apply light blush on the cheeks to give a glowing look.

Lipstick: Your choice of lipsticks should be the ones with moisturizer in their formula.
Makeup for older women should be carefully selected and diligently applied. Choosing and properly applying the right makeup will enhance the natural beauty of older women while diminishing the impact of aging.
